Denso Hall, officially the Max Denso Hall and Library, stands at the corner of M. A. Jinnah Road, Murad Khan Road and Marriott Road in Saddar, Karachi. Built in 1886 to designs by James Strachan, it was the city's first library open to local people at a time when libraries such as Frere Hall's were reserved for British officers. It is Venetian Gothic with Tudor touches, built of local Gizri sandstone.
