Elum Ghar, the 2,800 m sacred mountain between Swat and Buner, west of Pir Baba — once a Hindu pilgrimage site and linked with the Buddha's lives.
Elum Ghar, or Mount Elum, is a 2,800-metre mountain on the border of Swat and Buner, west of the shrine of Pir Baba. It is the highest peak in the area and is snow-covered for much of the year.

History
Until 1947 it was an important Hindu pilgrimage site, and Buddhist tradition holds that a previous incarnation of the Buddha gave up his life here.
