Naulakha Pavilion
Naulakha Pavilion (1633), Shah Jahan's curved-roof marble summer house in Lahore Fort, 'worth nine lakh rupees'.
The Naulakha Pavilion is a small white marble chamber with a curved roof beside the Sheesh Mahal courtyard in Lahore Fort. Shah Jahan built it in 1633 as a summer house for about 900,000 rupees, which gave it its name, 'worth nine lakh'. It was once inlaid with precious stones and looked out over the Ravi; its west side still gives a wide view over the old city.
