Retreat to Fairy Meadows & Nanga Parbat Base Camp
A walk up to the base of the ninth-highest mountain on Earth, taken at retreat pace. From the Raikot bridge on the Karakoram Highway, a jeep track and a two-to-three-hour walk lead to Fairy Meadows — pine forest, a handful of huts, and the entire Raikot face of Nanga Parbat overhead. The following day continues through Beyal towards the base camp viewpoints; after it, a full rest day in the meadow, which no one has ever regretted. The descent overnights in Chilas before the return. Six days, one honest uphill walk, and one of the great mountain views on the planet held for three of them. Guides, jeeps, and meadow-hut nights arranged throughout.
