Retreat to Skardu Valley by Air
Fly in, settle down, let the valley set the pace. This five-day retreat replaces two long road days with one short, staggeringly beautiful flight — Islamabad to Skardu past Nanga Parbat, widely considered among the most scenic scheduled flights in the world. On the ground: Shigar's fort and the white dunes at Katpana, upper Kachura lake (the postcard one), an excursion onto the Deosai plateau in season, and Satpara lake above the town. Nights at K2 Hotel by GreenPak. Mountain flights are weather-dependent; your planner builds the contingency in and talks it through honestly before you book. The gentlest way to reach Baltistan, and the fastest.

Trip overview
This is our most-loved introduction to the north. You'll trek the gentle trail into Fairy Meadows for sunrise on Nanga Parbat, then follow the Karakoram Highway to Hunza for Baltit Fort, Attabad Lake, and the road to the Khunjerab Pass.
Small group, private transport, and time built in to slow down, with local guides who grew up in these valleys.
