Daral Lake
Daral Lake, a glacier-fed lake at about 3,500 m above Bahrain in Swat Kohistan, reached on foot in summer.
Daral Lake lies in the upper reaches above Bahrain in Swat Kohistan, at the foot of Spinsar mountain and northeast of Saidgai Lake, at about 3,505 metres. Its name comes from a Dardic word for a stream. Fed by glacier melt, it gives rise to the Daral Khwar, a main tributary of the Swat River. An old mosque near the shore serves shepherds and walkers as a shelter.
