Nagar Khas, also known as Oyum-Nagar, is the main town of Nagar District and was the capital of the former princely state of Nagar. It stands in the Nagar River valley about five miles south-east of where the Nagar meets the Hunza River, opposite Baltit, at about 2,688 metres.
