Sumayar Valley
Sumayar, a small Nagar valley of nine villages at the meeting of the Hunza and Nagar rivers, beneath Diran.
Sumayar is a small valley in Nagar District, at the meeting of the Hunza and Nagar rivers, about 100 km and 90 minutes from Gilgit. Its nine villages sit below the snow peaks around Diran (7,266 m), with the Silkiyang Glacier, the Altusill and Menamgusham meadows and the Hayano camping grounds above. The valley is also known for its gemstones.
